Job Description & Qualifications

Job Summary

Delivers in-depth insights for paid marketing campaigns. Leads reporting deliverables and testing strategies, including analyzing traffic sources, customer flows and journeys, and site experiences to help optimize conversion rates.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Leads the reporting and analyses of marketing data to better understand how various marketing channels work together. Identifies root causes of trends within accounts.

  • Analyzes online results and identifies areas to enhance online marketing performance. Provides optimization recommendations and other actionable insights related to paid search and display information.

  • Identifies trends and opportunities for content changes and website enhancements to drive current and future business growth.

  • Serves as the primary resource for marketing reporting and data analytics tools.

  • Provides performance reporting on marketing initiatives and translates data sets into actionable results that align with business objectives.

  • Assists in troubleshooting and quality assurance testing pixel implementation and landing page tracking.

  • Researches emerging trends and industry developments and participates in interdepartmental knowledge sharing meetings.

Nature and Scope

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.

  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.

  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce and paid media managing sizable PPC accounts, preferably for companies with a large e-commerce presence.

  • Deep knowledge of search engine marketing (SEM) process and strategies for optimization.

  • Experience managing and optimizing budgets for paid search channels by tracking and analyzing campaign data.

  • Proactively collaborates with cross-functional business partners to gain an understanding of HD Supply products and customers and build out SEM strategy accordingly.

  • Experience collaborating between organic and paid search program.

  • Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising (Bing) Certified.

  • Experience using data analytics tools, including Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Google Data Studio, and Google Analytics.

  • Basic understanding JavaScript, SQL, or other programming languages.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.).
